Description

*Closed Group*

A great way to learn the basics of belaying to expand your rock climbing skills with a group of like-minded Veterans and civilians! We will cover the basics of rope work, climbing commands, and belay skills  so that climbers can become more confidant in the vertical environment. The benefits of climbing have been proven to help a wide range of disabilities such as PTSD, amputees, and TBI's.

Benefits of rock climbing include physical and mental aspects such as the practice of fine motor skills, coordination of movements, balance, and core control as well as problem-solving and mental focus. We will focus on every participant as an individual and encourage each climber to push their unique and personal comfort zones. All participants are welcome regardless of age, gender, or ability.

No experience or equipment is needed!

Climbers are encouraged to wear comfortable and flexible clothing. Equipment is provided, including harnesses and shoes.
