Description

This youth-only indoor climbing clinic will teach kids (ages 5-17) with physical disabilities how to not just climb, but how to become safe and efficient in the vertical environment. We will teach the basics of rope work, climber commands, and safety while having fun in the collaborative nature of climbing. We have adaptations for ALL abilities and look forward to giving back to our young community members!

Youth participants are welcome to bring up to TWO friends or siblings to join in on the fun!

Benefits of rock climbing include physical and mental aspects such as practicing fine motor skills, coordination of movements, balance, core control as well as problem-solving, and mental focus. We will focus on every participant as an individual and encourage each climber to push their unique and personal comfort zones, and most importantly, HAVE FUN!!!

IMPORTANT NOTE: at least one parent or legal guardian is required to be on-site during the duration of this event.

Climbers are encouraged to wear comfortable and flexible clothing. Equipment is provided, including harnesses and shoes.

*Please join us for any of our Kids Club programs throughout the summer! Every other week we will focus on a different sport: climbing, cycling, and paddling!
