Kids Club, Adaptive Cycling - Colorado

07/20/2022 04:00 PM - 06:00 PM MT

Location

Bear Creek Lake Park
Visitor Center
Morrison, CO

Description

This youth-only cycling clinic will teach kids (ages 5-17) with physical disabilities how to cycle with their hands or feet in a fun and safe environment. We will teach the basics of transferring in and out of the adaptive cycles, how to turn and stop the cycles, and proper trail etiquette. Once we have the basics down, we will have fun exploring the park on an accessible paved path and getting to know new friends! We have adaptations for ALL abilities and look forward to giving back to our young community members!

Youth participants are welcome to bring up to ONE friend or sibling to join in on the fun!

IMPORTANT NOTES: (1) at least one parent or legal guardian is required to be on-site during the duration of this event. (2) there is a small $5 park entrance fee per vehicle upon arrival (discounted for persons with disabilities).

Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable and flexible clothing. Equipment is provided, including watercraft and safety vests.

*Please join us for any of our Kids Club programs throughout the summer! Every other week we will focus on a different sport: climbing, cycling, and paddling!
