Project Hero Vail Pass Group Ride
Short Description: Vail Pass National Recreation Trail is an 18-mile long out and back, fitness-type trail that features scenic views of the Gore and Tenmile Ranges and Copper Mountain Ski Resort. The trail traverses from Gore Creek Campground to the base of Copper Mountain and gains an elevation of 1,831 feet.
Schedule:
A tentative start time of 8:00 AM MST.
Who Can Attend?
Community riders, volunteers, and family who are comfortable riding at elevation. This is an intermediate level ride that climbs over 1800 feet of elevation and is very challenging.
What Can I Expect?
There will be 2-3 pace groups that you can ride with. This is a public trail that will have other users thoughout the day so it will be busy. There is no time limit so you can ride at a comfortable pace.
How Should I Dress & Things to bring?
Comfortable cycling attire, layers including gloves & sweater, water bottles, snacks, hat suncreen, camp chair
You will park in a public parking lot. You will have access to a cooler, tables, and snacks.

Timeliness
Please arrive 15-30 minutes prior to start time to setup your bike, ensure you have all your riding gear, and get instructions from our ride leaders.
