SHORT DESCRIPTION
Welcome back to another adaptive ski and snowboard season! Come ready to increase your knowledge with hands-on experience and real-life scenarios.

GOALS

  • Practice fitting a skier/rider into their equipment & how to adjust to get the best form
  • Practice real life scenarios utilizing a variety of adaptive ski & ride equipment, including loading/unloading a chair lift


SCHEDULE
Training will be at the Adaptive Adventures office in Schaumburg, IL. We will begin at 6:30pm and run through 9:00pm. Light refreshments will be provided. Please reach out to the contact below with any dietary restrictions.

WHO CAN ATTEND?
Any volunteer who wishes to learn MORE! Concentration will be on RETURNING Volunteers who already have at least 2 YEARS experience with our adaptive ski and snowboard program.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT?
Reconnect with Adaptive Adventures staff and other volunteers. Review policies, procedures, and any current trending adaptive ski and snowboard topics before we put it into practice ourselves.

HOW SHOULD I DRESS?
This training will be held indoors, but with hands-on application. Please come dressed in comfortable activewear attire.

TIMELINESS
We make every effort to adhere to our schedule. We ask that you respect the scheduled times and arrive no later than 6:30pm. If you are going to be late, please let us know.
