Veterans at The LineUp Lagoon-Hawaii

Join Adaptive Adventures and VA Pacific Islands Health Care for a new partnered program with The Lineup at Wai Kai. This program is open for veterans and will take place at this amazing venue where a variety of paddle and water sports will be available. The LineUp brings the best of the island’s activities - surfing, stand-up paddle boarding, outrigger canoeing, dining, and entertainment - together in one location. Celebrating our deep connection to water, The LineUp is a meeting place for locals, aspiring surfers, pro surfers, and travelers alike.

Goals: 

• To increase overall physical fitness and health with a focus on paddling specific muscle groups

• To foster an inclusive team environment filled with camaraderie

• To introduce a new venue for the Oahu community

• To provide adaptive techiniques and equipment for the venue 

Who can attend?: Veterans located in Oahu, VA Staff

Expectations: Must be able to self-transfer up or down by 12+ inches; swimming skills recommended; must be comfortable in close confines with other athletes in narrow seating; must be 18 years or older to participate.

How should I dress & things to bring? : Please beach wear (swimsuits), sandals, towels, dry clothes to change 

Participants are recommended to bring a water bottle, sunscreen, and hat for the lagoon day.

Timeliness: Please arrive on time to gather as a group and check-in at the LineUp.
