Come explore adaptive sports with Adaptive Adventures at Boyd Lake State Park. Bring your family for a FREE, fun-filled, experiential and social day including cycling, climbing on a mobile rock wall, kayaking and paddleboarding! 

Enjoy socializing with our amazing community of participants, volunteers, partners, vendors and staff over a free picnic. 

Trying adaptive sports for the first time? Interested in honing your skills? Looking for camaraderie? We have something for everyone!

This program is open to all ages and abilities. Adaptations and modifications will be provided for children, adults and veterans with physical disabilities and their families. Preregistration is required. 

In the event of inclement weather, registrants will receive updates via email and we will update our website.

Schedule
3:00 PM-7:00 PM MST - OPEN Cycling, Climbing, Kayaking and Paddleboarding

There will be three sports running throughout the event: cycling, paddlesports, and climbing. Each sport will be an introduction and allow all participants to experience the various adaptations and equipment available.

Who Can Attend? 
The programs offered by Adaptive Adventures are specifically designed to serve individuals with physical disabilities. To be eligible for participation in Adaptive Adventures programs, individuals must be able to follow directions and effectively communicate without assistance. 

No experience is necessary. Family and friends are welcome to attend. A picnic dinner will be provided. Activities and picnic are free to all registered participants and their guests!

What Can I Expect?
You will have the opportunity to experience a variety of sports, eat lunch, enjoy the outdoors, and meet other community members.

How Should I Dress & Things to bring?
Bring layers, protective sun gear, swim gear (items that can get wet), sandals/water shoes, towels, water bottle, suncreen, and chair. 

Please Note - Weather is fairly unpredictable (and yet predictable)! When we have sunny days, it is likely that we will get afternoon thunderstorms. Please make a note of this when planning to come to this event. We will continue to run our activities as long as possible but please know that we may need to stop programming if lightning is in the area.
